Your Child's Development & Your Involvement

The EYFS – what is it and what does it mean in practice?

The EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidance from the government notes that in young children Learning and Development requires childcare providers to:

  • Recognise each child is unique and requires observation to understand how best to help their development.

  • Give the child positive relationships to develop their self-confidence, independence and to help them learn what is acceptable behaviour.

  • Provide enabling environments rich in objects and people that stimulate their imaginations and support them in taking risks within well managed, safe settings.

We support these guidelines wholeheartedly and have undergone numerous training courses to ensure that my home and my care do all these things for your child. We also provide every opportunity for parents to be involved in what goes on at my house as well as yours, to ensure that we are supporting each other in helping your child to be happy and healthy and to flourish.

EYFS sounds great... but, we certainly do much more to raise healthy and happy children!

Key Values

We have monthly themes in order to enrich our children's learning experience. These are aligned with festivals, holidays and special days celebrated in the UK.

We pride ourselves in offering bespoke and unique childcare

offering a homely environment in which children thrive.

A very important pillar of our nursery is our partnership with parents. We work with you to provide the best in childcare.

Our children grow from pinto beans to runner beans. We adapt and evolve our care to suit the needs of your growing child.

Our familiar family environment encourages children to form important bonds with others through activities, play and teamwork.

We are a family owned business priding ourselves in caring for our children the way we would care for our own.

We offer individual menus, progression and developmental updates so that every child is cared for in their own unique way.

Several times a day we provide trips and outings to encourage children to explore and become inspired by nature.
