What Makes Lucky Beans Norbury Special?

At Lucky Beans Norbury we're more than early years educators, we're a family.

Bordering the beautiful Norbury Park, the forest school ethos is a large part of our care. This means plenty of time is spent outside in nature each day!

In addition to Norbury Park, our settings in Norbury have a secret garden nestled in the woodland (see pictures above). It's a place our children describe as "magical" - we love to see their imaginations come alive!

Our hours are from 7:30AM to 6:30PM each day.

Our passionate and caring staff create a home-away-from-home atmosphere within the nursery.

With daily outings and a great outdoor space, children spend ample times outdoors and in nature!

We are partners with our parents, which means we want to work with you to make your child the happiest they can be!

What our Parents say...

Jazz & Bella

We are delighted with Preschool and everything about the activities undertaken.

Our kids have settled-in excellently. Keep up the fantastic work. Thanks so much!

Mia

We are very happy with Mia’s progress. She is more confident, wanting to try new things, loves to come to preschool and see her teacher and buddies. Best school ever! No complaints, very happy with Team Beans xx

Albert & Basil

Our eldest (Albert) has been here a while and he loves it. We are so thrilled the preschool opened here. Staff are kind and friendly. Our youngest(Basil) will start soon and we know he will enjoy it as much as his older brother. Thank you so much for all you do and the hard work that gets put into running it all so well.

Parent FAQs

What are your child nursery fees?

There is no set price, all our child care needs are tailored to you and your child.

Please call our admissions team on 02045010894 or email admissions@luckybeanschildcare.co.uk to receive our fees sheet for your chosen nursery or preschool and to arrange a tour.

Do you accept the government’s funded hours support?

Yes we do, we help parents access the 15 hours of support for 3 and 4 year-olds (or 30 hours of support if you qualify). The reduction this will make in your fees is illustrated on the fees sheet which our admissions team will send you.

What are the ratios of staff to children in the nurseries?

We adhere to the industry standard of 1 staff member to 3 children for 0-2 year-olds, 1 staff member to 4 children for 2-3 year-olds and 1 staff member to 8 children for 3-5 year-olds while in the nursery.

As we are a nursery company with a forest school ethos we spend a lot of time outdoors and when we are outdoors we have a higher ratio of staff to children than these ratios, to enable the children to explore and learn while being properly and safely supervised.

What sort of food do you serve? Can you work with my child’s allergies?

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus two snacks in the morning & afternoon that are provided by our in-house chefs. Our delicious and healthy meals will fuel your little one's mind and body. Of course, we believe in balance, too! We also include a few yummy treats in our menu, because some foods are good for the soul.

All our chefs and relevant staff are trained in food hygiene holding a minimum of a Level 2 Certificate. We are understanding & accommodating to all dietary requirements, just let us know!

If your child is weaning, don’t worry, we have weaned many children successfully.

What is the daily routine at the nursery?

The exact things that we do will vary from day to day and month to month, both to keep the children interested and to best progress the children towards their learning goals.

However, in broad strokes, a day will progress like this:

  • 7:30 - 9:00 - drop-offs and breakfast

  • Free play, including sensory activities

  • Snack

  • Outdoor activities/forest school

  • Lunch from 11:45 - 12:30

  • Nap time for younger children/free play for older ones

  • Snack

  • Structured activities, often classes in music, Spanish, tennis, football or ballet provided by our outside educators

  • Supper

  • Free play

  • Pick up 5:30 - 6:30

If you have any more questions, please just ask us.
